Sint-Jacobskerk.

Sint-Jacobskerk is an immersive interactive 3D web experience showcasing the historic Sint-Jacobskerk (Saint James' Church) in Ghent, Belgium. For this school project, I created a detailed 3D model of the church in Blender and integrated it into a web-based 3D environment using React Three Fiber. The project features interactive points of interest that reveal historical facts and stories, including the famous 1996 hot air balloon incident. Users can toggle between day and night modes with dynamic lighting, and the experience includes text-to-speech integration for Dutch narration. Built with React, React Three Fiber, GSAP for smooth camera animations, Zustand for state management, and Three.js for 3D rendering.
